S.V.F.D. CPR PROGRAM
Welcome Life Saver,
Thank you for showing interest in being American Heart Association CPR Certified. This program was created to help the general public gain working knowledge of life saving procedures. The CPR Healthcare Providers classes are scheduled to last approximately four hours. CPR/First Aid classes are scheduled to last six hours. Classes will be held at the Splendora Fire Department (14088 Old Highway 59). Classes may be scheduled at remote locations if requested (Minimum seating and maximum distances will apply). Proceeds from the monthly courses go towards the Volunteers that serve the community of the Splendora Fire district.
New American Heart Association Standards are effective as of March 2011. It is not mandatory for you to take a new course if you have a current CPR card from AHA. However, Splendora Fire Department would be happy to allow anyone that wants the knowledge to set in on the new course to update their information free of charge. This does not net you a new card with a new expiration date.
Rates and Services are as follows:
Books are required to be purchased by each individual taking the course. However; businesses that have employees enrolled in the course and have an onsite library, may purchase a single book for the library that will remain readily available for all employees.
Books- $15 each ( Price not included in cost of course)
CPR Healthcare Providers Course- $35 per individual
First Aid Course- $20 per individual
CPR/First Aid Course- $45 per individual
*Local Day Cares, Special Request classes, and Emergency Services personnel receive special pricing. Please contact for details.
*Monthly classes are scheduled at the discretion of the coordinator. Contact Assistant Chief Brandon Frazier at BFrazier@splendorafire.com or Station 161 at (281) 689-9600 for dates and times.
